Julie Christine Johnson

aka “Wine Geek”

Julie has undergraduate degrees in French and Psychology and a Master’s in International Affairs. Her short stories and essays have appeared in journals, print anthologies, and a podcast. Julie’s first novel, In Another Life, deemed a “standout debut” by the Library Journal, and “[v]ery highly recommended” by Historical Novels Review, went into a second printing three days after its initial release in February 2016. Her second novel, The Crows of Beara, was acquired by Ashland Creek Press and will take flight in September 2017. A hiker, yogi, and wine lover, she calls the Olympic Peninsula home.

Life experience counts. I attended culinary school in New Zealand in 2006. I was a wine buyer (I still enjoy opening a great bottle) until I became a writer full-time.
